ABSTRAK

Vivi Febriyanti : Peningkatan Aktivitas dan Hasil belajar Matematika Menggunakan model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation (GI) Siswa Kelas X1 SMA Negeri 1 Kamang Magek Kabupaten Agam Tahun Pelajaran 2010/2011.

Proses pembelajaran matematika menjadi bermakna jika siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran. Rendahnya aktivitas siswa akan mempengaruhi hasil belajar matematika siswa. Kenyataannya di lapangan, siswa malas untuk berdiskusi dan membantu siswa lain yang belum paham mengenai pelajaran. Mereka cenderung mengerjakan latihan yang diberikan sendiri walaupun guru meminta siswa bekerja bersama siswa yang lainnya. Untuk itu, perlu diterapkan suatu model pembelajaran yang dapat menarik siswa lebih aktif dan terlibat secara mental sehingga minat belajar siswa dan hasil belajarnya lebih baik. Alternatif yang dapat mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah model pembelajaran aktif tipe Group Investigation (GI). Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini (1) Apakah penerapan model pembelajaran group investigation dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran matematika? (2) Apakah penerapan model pembelajaran group investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa?. Hipotesis penelitian adalah Penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research), yang merupakan suatu investigasi terkendali yang berdaur ulang dan bersifat reflektif mandiri, yang memiliki tujuan untuk melakukan perbaikan-perbaikan terhadap kualitas pembelajaran, dan proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan dikelas. Instrumen penelitian adalah kuis yang diberikan setiap akhir pembelajaran, tes hasil belajar mengenai trigonometri yang diberikan setelah selesai satu siklus, dan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, aktivitas belajar siswa cenderung meningkat dari pertemuan pertama sampai pertemuan terakhir. Data ini diperoleh dengan menganalisis lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Dari analisis hasil belajar diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar pada siklus I adalah 58,29 sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar pada siklus II adalah 67,28. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperative tipe Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.

The process of learning mathematics becomes meaningful when students actively in learning. The low activity of students will affect the results of mathematics learning. The reality on the ground, lazy students to discuss and help other students who do not understand about the lesson. They tend to do exercises that are given their own even though the teacher asks the students to work with other students. For that, need to be applied a learning model that can attract students more active and mentally engaged so that the interest in student learning and better learning results. An alternative that can solve the problem is active learning model type Group Investigation (GI). The formulation of the problem in this study (1) Is the application of group learning model investigation to increase student activity in learning mathematics? (2) Is the application of investigation group learning model to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes?. Research hypothesis is the application of Group Investigation model of learning can improve student learning activities. Implementation of Group Investigation model of learning can improve student learning outcomes.
This type of research study was a class action (classroom action research), which is a re-investigation berdaur controlled and self-reflective, which has the aim to make improvements to the quality of teaching and learning process conducted in class. The research instrument is a quiz given each end of the lesson, learning about trigonometry test results are given after the completion of one cycle, and observation sheet student learning activities.
Based on the results of research, student learning activities tend to increase from the first meeting until the last meeting. This data was obtained by analyzing the observation sheet student learning activities. From the analysis results obtained by studying the average learning outcomes in the first cycle is 58.29 while the average learning results on the second cycle is 67.28. Thus concluded that the results of mathematics learning by using learning model kooperative type Group Investigation to enhance the activity and student learning outcomes.
